Formax, Dover, NH July '07: Formax introduces the new 8902 Series Industrial Shredders, and a new line of Production Folders.

The new 8902 Series Industrial Shredders offer automated features and user-friendly controls. The easy-to-use LED Control Panel with visual load indicator assists operators by displaying how close they are to maximum shred capacity to avoid jams and provide optimal efficiency. New features include Auto Start/Stop, Auto Reverse, Auto Cleaning and a Safety Key Lock System to ensure authorized use of the shredder. Capacity has also been increased to shred up to 650 sheets at one time. In addition, an optional Output Conveyor Belt System is available for the FD 8902CC which transports material out of the shredder and into an external waste bin, increasing capacity and decreasing down time between emptying and replacing the waste bin.
The FD 8902B combines the power and features of the FD 8902CC with an Output Baler for convenient disposal of shredded material. The Baler continuously compacts shredded material into a bale, which is then ejected into a plastic bag for easy disposal.
The 8902 Series offers commercial-grade features including heat-treated solid steel cutting blades, a powerful AC geared-motor, and a 10-year limited warranty on the cutting head.
3950 Series Production Folders
The 3950 Series Floor-Model Production Folders are a heavy-duty system providing the ideal solution for high-volume print shops, fulfillment centers or mailrooms that demand true "production" capabilities, reducing set-up time and increasing productivity.
Three feed options are available: the FD 3950 with a standard bottom-feed air deck for continuous loading, the FD 3950-EX with an extended bottom-feed air deck for a capacity of up to 1,200 sheets, and the flagship FD 3950-PF, featuring a deep-pile feeder capable of holding up to 5,000 sheets of 20# stock.
Standard features include fully-automatic fold settings, up to 60 programmable jobs, variable speed control up to 40,000 sheets per hour, adjustable output conveyor, and centrally-located control panel.
