Formax Dover, NH December '11: Formax introduces two additions to its shredder line: the FD 8250CC Deskside Shredder, and the FD 8850CC Industrial Shredder.
The FD 8250CC Deskside Shredder is compact and powerful, able to shred both paper and credit cards to security Level 4 shred particles. Standard features include Auto Start/Stop, and a removable waste bin with a fill-level window making it easy to see when it’s time to be emptied. It can shred up to 8 sheets at a time, up to 9” wide, at a speed of up to 14 feet per minute. Between shredding, energy consumption is reduced with power-free standby operation.
The FD 8850CC Industrial Shredder offers strength and user-friendly design for high-volume centralized shredding of a variety of media. Two separate infeeds can process a variety of media, including paper, stacks of continuous computer paper, crumpled paper, credit cards, CDs/DVDs, computer disks and USB flash drives. The large upper infeed features a rotating bin which easily handles trash bins full of paper, while the standard infeed features a fold-away shelf on the front, to allow for easier feeding.
Auto Start/Stop and Auto Reverse are standard features of the FD 8850CC, in addition to an LED control panel. Its powerful motor can shred up to 80 sheets at once, into 1/8” x 2” Level 3 shred particles. The enclosed housing also protects against the spread of paper dust, and provides for low-noise operation. The EvenFlow™ Automatic Oiling System is standard on the FD 8850CC and helps to keep the shredder in peak operating condition by automatically lubricating the cutting blades. As with the entire Formax Shredder Line, these two new additions feature a Lifetime Limited Warranty on the cutting head, with 1-Year Warranty on all other parts.
