"Crash tab" technology feeds the edge of a mailpiece into the tabber, where the piece contacts adhesive tabs and travels through a set of rollers where the tabs are tightly folded and sealed, creating a mail-ready piece.
Edge tabbers can apply tabs to the side edge of a piece, such as a self-mailer. A variety of tab stocks can be used, including clear, translucent, and paper. Each has built-in take-up spools to reduce down-time.
The FD 260 Single-Head Tabber uses crash tabbing to process up to 15,000 pieces per hour.
The FD 280 Double-Head Edge Tabber applies multiple edge tabs per piece in various positions, processing more than 15,000 pieces per hour.
The FD 290 Crash and Edge 90-Degree Tabbing System combines the FD 280 and FD 260 to apply edge and top tabs in a single pass. Tabs can be fed fan-folded or from rolls for higher volume.
Optional high-volume document feeders, tab feeders and conveyors offer increased productivity.
