The FTI Division provides turn-key solutions from design to manufacturing of high-quality paper processing equipment, including UL, CE, CSA, VDE and TUV testing for agency certification for companies selling worldwide.  Our distinguished level of production competency has led to a growing business of contract manufacturing for various corporations in many different industries.

FTI was originally founded in 1968 as the forms handling equipment division of Tab Products Company in Santa Clara, CA. In 1974 the company produced its first continuous feed decollator for the automated separation of continuous pin-fed business forms. The company continued to expand in this market by engineering continuous form bursters, mergers and other niche paper processing equipment.  In 1990 the company designed and introduced the first self mailer equipment for the independent reseller market utilizing heat-seal technology. A second generation of self-mailing equipment was released in 1992 utilizing water-based sealing principles.

In 1994 the company entered into a partnership with Formax of Dover, NH to resell its continuous form and self-mailer products nationwide. In cooperation with Formax, the company began manufacturing the third and most advanced generation of self-mailer equipment utilizing patented pressure seal technology in early 1996.  In 2005 the company introduced its first patented automated folding machines which have since been replaced with its second generation of models in late 2010.

In addition to pressure sealers and folding machines, FTI manufactures a complete line of equipment including paper joggers, conveyor and infrared dryer systems for addressing, as well as our traditional continuous form processing equipment of bursters, decollators and mergers. FTI also has extensive experience running document handling equipment in-line with various laser and inkjet based printers.

FTI manufactures many products that are proprietary or customized to OEM customer requirements.  Over the last twenty years FTI has become the preferred source for contract manufacturing services for corporations selling worldwide.
